"It's a beautiful ancient hotel with a story. I stayed in a hut in the backyard with own access and possibility to park right outside the door. The breakfast was good, with the classic selection of options, but nothing special."
"Cleanliness could have a been a tad bit better, some hairs here and there. Although I do like the charm of an older hotel this one could use a bite of a renovation / update. The bathroom is quite small and you can see through the window. It was also quite cold although the heating was on."
"At the entrance of the town, this former residence of Kristian Thams now lies in zone of smaller shopping malls. The historic building is nicely adapted with a contemporary hotel wing. It gives you the benefit of two worlds: the cosiness of the vintage combined with modern comfort. Do not miss to visit the Thams Residence and read the information about this fascinating patron of industry. The bar is situated in the entrance hall and leads to the restaurant: the beer is better than the dinner however. Breakfast was quite surprizing, with a nice realm of tasteful local products."

"The reception staff were able to arrange a tour of the old hotel as well as the old church on the property. The breakfast was also excellent. This was a very relaxed season to visit."
