"This place is magical. It is suited in the beautiful nature, when you wake up in the morning you only hear the birds singing. But the same time you are the city center in a few muinutes. I love the community style. You are allowed to use the drinks and snackbar anytime and on the base of trust you pay at the check out. I arrived from germany, and without any more costs, a late check in was possible. The owners were very nice and helped out with any questions. I definitly comming back and I warmly recommend this place!! ;-) Thank you."

"The room was very beautiful and comfortable. The food was excellent. The best we had in the Dominican Republic so far and the price is extremely reasonable. The staff was professional and friendly. I would definitely go back for the food and for the comfortable room."

We had to change room as we didn’t know from the description, that it was in a shared apartment. That information should be clear on booking.

The staff give an extremely warm reception, they are super friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and what can be done…..if they didn’t know, they knew someone who does. For example, they arranged a night watching the turtles and a guide to walk some local waterfalls. The food was out of this world, fresh and local produce cooked by chefs who’ve been cooking their whole life."

"It was like staying at someone’s home. V good, helpful staff and bed was v comfortable. The food was surprisingly decent for such a small place. Picturesque location even though snow was sparse at the time"

Only gripe might be that the air was quite dry, making sleep quality not so good: might be because of it being a wooden bldg

The bed is small and the bathroom needs some modernising

Cold water shower (was fine for body but just cold for washing hair!), the vents in wall allowed a lot of smoke in which made me quite coughy but wasn’t a big issue

"Everything. In summer, when the site is full of campers, the view from the cabin would be obscured by tents. But, end of September, when we visited, our view was green lawns sloping down to the river. Lovely."

Booking.com told us it was 7 miles from Vianden. It is not. 22-24 depending which route you choose. We had planned to go the 7 miles back to Vianden for dinner, but 22 winding miles? No.

"El lugar en si es bastante placentero, sin ruido de carros, rodeado de árboles y la cabaña es una belleza, muy limpia, amplia, cómoda, con absolutamente lo necesario para pasar un fin de semana bastante relajado. "Great location and the scenery was beautiful. Very nice and peaceful atmosphere. Located on hill tops and the views were amazing! Perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. Surrounded by trees and was entertained by monkeys swinging through the branches. The rooms were also very spacious and allowed a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient and meals were delivered to the room. Staff were very accommodating and overall had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay."

"The host was super friendly and helpful! He helped us arrange room bookings further up the trek and even managed to get us direct flight tickets from Lukla to Kathmandu. Everything went really smoothly — would definitely recommend this place!"

"The people were so friendly and helpful. They gave us a free lift into town and back and answered all of our questions. The setting is beautiful next to the water with a lovely log cabin. I'd definitely stay again, especially in summer as it's a great alternative to Ciudad del Este."

It can be a bit cold if the weather isn't good.
