"Very chilled hostel, small and compact. Very clean with constant cleaning of bathrooms and kitchen. 10 min walk to castle and coast."

Dorms are by the main road and very noisy with traffic so hard to sleep. Creaky floorboards also.

The location is nearby the Black Beach, so it can get really windy outside.

Locating the Da Terra at night is not straightforward. It is surrounded by several houses and some distance off the road.

"Property had a really nice hang out space and the WiFi worked really well and was very fast for our 2 day stay. Staff helped us arrange a local bus to Chipata."

Rooms very very basic and had a mould issue. But other than that was okay. We didn’t have bed bugs in our room, but we met other backpackers in the dorm beds that said they did have them…

"For the price I got a little studio apartment with plenty of room. The place is a bit spread out and falls down a hillside. Great views and a good breakfast. Staff welcoming and fun. Needed a taxi to get to the town but cheap and easy to arrange"

The wifi was weak .... I had to sit on my balcony and hope for the best or go to the main area.

If you want a beach holiday it's a little far but if you enjoy the cultural aspects it's a perfect spot. Just a little uphill.

"Amazing hostel, nice location and there are always a lot of travellers passing by. If you are planning to go to the seven lakes it’s very likely you’ll find other people so you can share a car to the lakes, stay overnight at the guesthouse. The hostel also lets you leave your things if you’re leaving and then come back."

"A very nice and atmospheric resort. Beautiful surroundings. Lots of parking spaces. There is a gazebo on site where you can barbecue and spend a nice evening. Additionally, a small playground for children. The rooms are very clean. Two toilets and 3 shower cabins per floor."

Great hot showers and good buffet breakfast. Contrary to some other uncharitable reviews, I found the young guys working there to be helpful and pleasant. Sebastien the owner gives great travel advice. 10/10, would repeat!"

There is nothing not to like. But, as you need a code to enter your room, its probably not a good idea to rush to the toilet in the middle of the night, and forgetting phone with the code in the room 😊 (didn't happen, but could 🤣). Love it here...

"The staff were amazing! So friendly, and helpful. There was milk provided for the guests which was a bonus as I always bring tea bags with me, so saved me a walk to the shop. The location was brilliant and the hostel was very clean"

The only issue is that I’ve stayed in similar hostels, but the price was nowhere near as expensive. I know it’s in Zurich, but it’s still a hostel.

"The setting is magical. Tucked away in the woods. Two beautiful deer walked passed me right be the hostel."

"The hostel is in the heart of Antwerp, it’s walkable distance from anywhere. We got access to our room very early which was a nice surprise. Our beds were comfortable and the shared spaces were alright. I liked the decor. Our stay came with a free breakfast, which was absolutely lovely. As fas as hostels go, this was a very pleasant experience."

My only gripe was again the location. Being that the hostel is in the very center, there was a lot of noise outside until the early hours of the morning. Again, not the hostel’s fault, just something to keep in mind.
