Guest reviews for Edinburgh - Houseboats
"Great choice in the heart of Edinburgh. Loved the cleanliness; comfort and facilities onboard."
"Aucun."
"Breakfast hamper was unexpected but delightful. A really nice touch. Also the electric blanket was ace and a god send. Natalie from the boat contacted me by text and was responsive to questions and queries."
"Not much to say here, and I feel a bit bad for adding any blurb here. Some hooks for wet towels and washing up liquid are about as critical as it gets!"
"Everything was perfect. I was a little scared and thought we might be cold on the boat, but no, turns out you were perfectly well prepared for scottish weather!! :D Thanks again, we had a wonderful time. Cherry on the cake: The tap water was drinkable??? How did you manage that?? I've stayed on boats before, many times, never been able to drink the tap water! Reliable, nice, flexible and comfortable. We will definitely come back and absolutely will recommend!! Thanks, amazing experience!"

"The location was perfect, just far enough away from the city centre to be peaceful but close enough to walk in"

"Price and location were excellent. Communication was great too. Nearby secure parking was a bonus. We were able to check in very early with no troubles at all. Also a free breakfast hamper through Booking.com"
"Nothing. It was exactly as described and pictured. We've been hammering Canal Boat Diaries recently so when we saw this was available we snapped it up."
"This was a unique experience that my family really enjoyed! It is easy to walk to the castle and royal mile. The shower house was an easy walk and the water was hot! My teenagers showered on the boat. We ordered a basket and made breakfast on the boat. Enjoyed feeding the swans and meeting some neighbors. Our host were pleasant and helpful!"
"There is a lot of construction going on along the canal. We were there during the week so it was a little loud during the day."
"Location was great - and enjoyed being on the boat. Well designed."
"You have to be prepared for boat living! Great to find the shower block and toilets along the quay."
"Nice accommodation with personality. Good location. Everything very tidy. Super friendly and helpful land (or quay) lady."
"Of course it is a boat, so there is no excess room to any direction - fortunately our luggage was very modesty sized."
"The boat was beautiful inside and really spacious. The 7 of us had more than enough space. The beds have heaters and everything is really modern. The owner Natalie was really nice and answered all our questions instantly. Definitely reccomend it."
"The only "downside" is the toilet. You need to put the toilet paper in the bin as you can't flush it down the toilet, although , it really wasn't that big of a problem."
"Good location - quickly into the town centre and not far at all from the Grassmarket area. The kids enjoyed the novelty of staying on a boat. I appreciated the little touches such as a bathrobe and slippers."
"It is worth noting that access into the boat is down a couple of quite steep steps, which might challenge some people but other than that, there was nothing that was within the control of the Four Sisters."
