Guest reviews for La Bournerie

"Ski in, ski out. Close to ski lifts and a short walk from the centre of Chinaillon village. Traditional style, built in 1805 and sympathetically extended. Very comfortable lounge area. As a solo traveler, hosts Natalie and Thierry and their staff made me feel very welcome."

"There was nothing not to like, other than the shortness of my stay. I hope to return soon."

"The staff and owners were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They also responded quickly with questions before the trip. Half-board. The dinners were excellent. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. There was use of a separate, private bathroom. The communal area was well laid out and comfortable. The whole building felt authentic and interesting. The location is truly ski-in/ski-out."

"Not a dislike - however, be aware access from the car park requires walking across the base of the ski runs and there are a number of steps up to the property. Good for warming up the ski legs!"

"Staff so lovely, very friendly and told us a lot of information about the location."

"Although breakfast was beautiful for my travelling companions, we were not informed of the breakfast fee, and no gluten free option was provided but I still had to pay."

"Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Brilliant food and plenty of it. Good quality beer and extensive wine list. Only stayed three nights but wish it could have been longer ."

"We liked the location of the hotel, the charm of the old house, the authentic interior and the very nice staff. There was a very nice area with games and a sofa to spend the evenings. The food was incredibly good. We received the best food from the restaurant and the cheese was amazing"

"Since my boyfriend is very tall the bed was a bit small for the both of us and the matras rather hard (since we bother have serious back problems. Breakfast was nice but there was only an offer of sweet things. Maybe some cheese or meat would be nice as a variation to the sweet or some yoghurt or fromage blanc to go with the granola. (since there was fromage blanc in the evening as dessert ;-)"

"I had a wonderful stay, the hosts were extremely nice and the room spotless. I would like to return in winter or even again in summer."

"The rooms are beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional."

"Very clean room, nice modern facilities, good location and friendly staff"

"Highly recommend the boat trip on the lake with his son."

"Needed a hotel room to rest during our roadtrip and this was actually perfect. Staff was very nice and helpful."

"Beautiful calm location Exceptionally good value Very helpful proprietor"

"Lovely overnight stop, comfy bed and wonderful breakfast. Host Sonua is so welcoming and friendly"

"The hosts are exceptionally wonderful! The whole area is beautiful (Col de la Bonette, Col d'Allos, Col des Champs, Col de la Cayolle) and full of wildlife (marmots, deer, hares, badgers). There is a great Luge d'ete ride at La Colmiane ski resort. There is a spectacular hike with some modest mountain climbing (and some precarious spots) directly from the house (Col de Crous, Cime Negre, Col de Crousette). We definitely want to come again!"

"Exceptional welcome and hospitality from the hosts Marie and Pascal. A unique, idyllic atmosphere The breakfast is truly outstanding Great location for exploring Honfleur and surrounding countryside"

"Nice hotel with the basics you need for a comfortable stay. The room was clean, spacious, and well-heated. The staff were pleasant and helpful — as the restaurant was closed the night we stayed, they arranged transport to and from a great nearby restaurant. Lovely location right by the river."
