Boats in Puerto Rico

"Vlora's coat is so beautiful! I was amazed by the blue waters and the diversity. This trip is totally worth it . I am so glad we decided to do it. Make sure to have something extra to wear thought because the sea breeze is no joke. Had a great time with the host who was so friendly. He brought us some delicious home made snacks as well. "A different place to stay. A wood cabin but with all facilities such as fridge, single ring cooker, air conditioning, huge varanda with room for a dining table and chairs plus recliner chairs and a washing rack. Wonderful views of the Duero river. Pick up the train (one kilometre walk away) to Pinhao - 30 minute journey along the edge of the river-for food shopping and long, lazy lunches or to Porto for a day out. Rail fares in Portugal are very cheap and half price if over 65!"

A request: a reading light in the dining room/lounge area

"Very handy location. Boat well appointed with everything you could need: toilet, small shower, galley with all facilities (except a wooden spoon!). Bed comfortable with cosy bedding. Lounge and dining areas separate with a good amount of room, for two at least."

Being a bit inexperienced at staying on boats it took us a while to fine tune the way we used things but hey, life’s a learning experience. Hot water did run out but easily overcome and, with a bit of communication, eventually fixed up. It’s a boat, not a 5 star Hilton; these things happen.

"The Sailboat Ragamuffin is a unique experience. You are staying in a sailboat moored off of Water Island, where your hosts live after sailing the Caribbean for 30 years. They are a font of information and anecdotes about the US virgin islands and others. Jo is an accomplished chef and strives to give you the food types you desire. They pick you up by dinghy on the Crown Marina dock, and will take you by dinghy over to Water Island. In my case, I had two berths (bedrooms and bathrooms) on the boat, rocked to sleep by the rolling of the boat on the water. Don't miss going to water island, golf cart to Limestone Beach (coral reef) and Honeymoon Beach (the latter has turtles swimming around)"

The listing didn't make it quite clear what the accommodation would be - it described an apartment and a pool view. I thought it might be a houseboat on a dock. The pool view is the sea around the boat!

"great cozy yacht. bright and clean. Captain Serhan is super helpful and friendly. He is very responsible for taking care of his guests. very comfortable accommodation. Recommd all!"

This is a new concept. A few teething issues to sort. Breakfast took a long time. They should also make you aware in advance about cruise timings as it means the boat is unaccessible. This is OK providing your planning an evening out somewhere anyway. Evening cruise from 8pm to 11pm in our case

"Excellent location Beautiful experience staying right on the Danube river More than excellent breakfast at the hotel Park-inn across the street..."

The only thing I didn't like was the narrow bathroom But, I've stayed there 3 times in total and I knew what to expect..
